Hey There!
I’m the guy behind Nostalgic Nest Egg—a spot for reliving those childhood thrills through Pokemon cards, comics, and all sorts of nostalgic collecting vibes.
Think pack openings, comic reviews, news/discussions in the collecting hobbies, repair hacks, grading experiments, and tips on taking care of your nostalgic investment (not financial advice).
I’m all about building a fun community where we geek out over vintage (current and future) gems and share our wins (and mishaps!).
My collecting journey kicked off back in the day with Pokemon Red on release—starting with Charmander in Kanto, naturally.
I pulled my OG Charizard as a kid, and I’ve still got stacks of Base Set holos, a ton of Neo Genesis, those killer dark Pokemon from Team Rocket (one of the best sets), and much more.
Comics were part of the mix too, I read a few, but I didn’t really collect as a kid.
Life got busy, but a few years ago (still lacking the free time, but with more disposable income), like so many of us, I dove back in with Pokemon and expanded to comics in general—chasing that rush of cracking a pack or unearthing a rare find.
Now in my 30s, based in NC, I’m a busy dad and a software dev by day, but this is my passion side project.
Whether it’s fixing up damaged cards, chatting about other TCGs, or hosting giveaways, I love connecting with folks who get the nostalgia bug.
Catch my quick threads on X (@NostalgicNestEg), unboxings on YouTube, and deeper dives right here on the site.
If you’re into building your own nest egg of memories (and maybe some value), stick around!
Share your stories, join the giveaways, or hit me up at nostalgic@nostalgicnestegg.com.
Let’s hatch some awesome discussions together.
