Absolute Batman #16 Review: Batman Calls in Wonder Woman for a Killer Croc Rescue – Solid Crossover!

Absolute Batman #16 just dropped (1/8/2026) and it’s a fun, stand-alone second part that crosses over with Absolute Wonder Woman #15. Scott Snyder and the team deliver another solid issue in the Absolute line. 4.5/5

The Setup

We dive straight into the Bat Out of Hell tale. Bruce uses Hecate’s talisman (see Absolute Wonder Woman #15) to call Wonder Woman for help saving Waylon (Killer Croc). It’s part two of the crossover but works perfectly on its own.

The Cool Parts

  • Bruce is wrestling with a lot of guilt over old friends like Absolute Penguin and Absolute Two-Face — he really wants to save at least one person.
  • The humor lands nicely (that polite cyclops bit 😂).
  • Dream chats with Dad about heroism lead into an epic fight.
  • The Batman/Wonder Woman connection feels strong, though it doesn’t quite hit as hard as their first meeting.
  • Light colors give the whole issue a surprisingly airy feel.
  • We get a tease about the artifact’s effect on Waylon — what’s coming next?

Final Verdict

This is another strong issue in one of the best ongoing Absolute books right now. It’s not the most epic chapter, but the character moments, humor, and setup for future arcs make it a very enjoyable read. Hands down, Absolute Batman is one of the top titles in the line.
